DyingMatters.ca was created by Olga Nikolajev RN, MA, FT. Olga is an End of Life Nurse Educator, an author, and a Fellow in the field of Thanatology, the study of dying, death and bereavement. Olga is Certified in Thanatology: Death, Dying and Bereavement with the Association of Death Education and Counselling ADEC.
As an End of Life Nurse Educator I am able to offer support and guidance for those seeking to better understand dying, death and grief. With over 25 years of experience in the field of end of life care, health & death education, I can guide you through the different aspects of dying and death so that you may empower yourself and those who care for you. In addition, I can offer a compassionate listening presence as you heal through grief.
What is Death Literacy?
Death Literacy is defined as having the experience, skills and knowledge that enable all of us to plan for and gain access to end of life care support and services.
